Katerina Schwab is a third year student in the department of biochemistry at UBC. She works as a student research assistant under the supervision of Olga Arsovska and Dr. Ben Chew of Urologic Sciences. Her interests lie in organic synthesis and biomaterials, using chemistry to create novel materials for use in the human body. Katerina has had research experience in nanomaterials chemistry, participating in the NanoMAT program at the University of British Columbia.

At the Stone Centre Katerina is involved in patient enrollment for QOL and metagenomics studies as well as data input.
